PROPHECY QUESTION 64
We know that the church will be raptured at the end of this age of grace and the Holy Spirit will go with us. My question is will the Holy Spirit be the convicting power to those who hear the Gospel of the Kingdom during the tribulation period?
The Holy Spirit is God and God is omnipresent His presence is everywhere. It is impossible to take the Spirit's presence from the earth.
When Jesus was here the Spirit was here also. We read that God anointed Jesus with the Spirit (Acts 10:38). We also read that the Spirit was upon Him without measure (John 3:34) The Spirit is mentioned as being active in several places during the life of Christ on earth.
What Jesus meant when He spoke of sending the Spirit, as another Comforter, He was referring to what happen on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-3) The Spirit came and filled each believer permanently, this was new altogether; and then He took all the believer then and since and formed them into one body called the Church. (1 Corinthians 12:13) This was all entirely new.
Joel prophesied that God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh. (Joel 2:28) This was partially fulfilled on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:16), but not completely.
The Spirit's presence now in the body of Christ will go up in the Rapture. It does not meant that Spirit presence leaves the earth.
During the Tribulation the Spirit will be upon the remnant of those that have the Spirit of prophecy and testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17) and a great multitude that no man can number will be saved.(Revelation 7:9)
The severe persecution of this remnant by the Antichrist will scatter them all over the earth where God wants them to reach the nations that have not heard the gospel. (Isaiah 66:19).
Dear Reader, if you miss salvation now, there will be none for you after. Your day of salvation is here. You must repent of your sins and trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour or you will missed the Rapture and heaven.
