What will be the significance of the Jews after the rapture? Are they the only ones who will have a chance to be saved?
The tribulation period after the rapture has a two-fold purpose. The first is strictly in regard to the Jews, as found in the prophecy of Daniel 9:24, and many other prophecies as well; for example, “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it” (Jeremiah. 30:7).
The first 3 ½ years of the 7 year tribulation period are mentioned in Matthew 24:3-8 and described in Revelation 6:1-11 in conjunction with the seal judgments. Revelation 12: 1-6 reveals that Israel (in part) is to be carried away by God from her persecutors and hidden in the wilderness for the last 3 ½. years. At the end of the seven years the Lord will come to earth and Israel will be saved, “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn” (Zechariah 12:10).
The second purpose has to do with the world in general: The wrath of God will be poured out on this wicked world, “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity” (Isaiah. 13:11); “And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness”(Psalm 9:8); also referred to in Acts 17:31. During the tribulation period there will be a great multitude saved, “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands...these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb(Revelation.7:9, 14).They are those of the Gentile nations (cf. Revelation 21:24); called sheep nations in Matthew 25:32, evidently those who have never heard or understood the gospel.
So, those of the Gentiles nations will saved during the seven year s. Israel as a nation will be saved at the end of that time; and all the wicked will perish in the Battle of Armageddon as noted in Revelation 19:11. Now, dear reader, where do you fit in? If you are saved you will not be in the tribulation but up in the air with Christ. If you are not saved you will end up perishing in your sins and be in hell forever. Christ loves you and died to save you from your sins and hell. You must come to Him by faith and trust Him as your Saviour. Do it and be saved instantly.
