What does me Bible say about What is ecumenicalism and what does the Bible say about it?

Ecumenicalism, which means the whole earth, is most certainly spoken about in the Bible, but not in a favourable way. Though the word is not found, in Genesis 11:1 where we read of the “Whole Earth," we have the meaning: “The whole world was of one language and speech.”

This implies a union yet to be known among men since. Their aims and ambitions were one. They were going to build a tower to reach heaven and a city to rule earth. They worked together to reach their common goal. It was a religious and political unity as implied in the words, “tower and city”. One to rule heaven and the other the earth. To everybody involved it must have seemed a great idea. Their leader was a man named Nimrod, Genesis 10:8-9. He was a mighty man in the earth, a hunter of souls before (lit, against) the Lord. He captured the hearts of men and lead them in the building of a great political-religious empire called Babylon. This system went all through the Old Testament days and is still with us in its principles.

In Revelation 17:5 where we read, “Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and abominations of the earth”. She is seen here in a future time as a great religious system riding on a scarlet coloured beast which is a wicked political system that rules the earth at that time. Ecumenical meetings where Christians, so called Christians including people who do not believe the Bible and its principle doctrines, such as the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, blood atonement, bodily resurrection and His second coming to earth to reign are scripturally wrong.

Real born again Christians ought not to attend or support ecumenicism. It is the formation of the Harlot church of Revelation 17 which is to be in the end times. The Bible exhorts us now to “not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers”, 2 Corinthians 6:14, and in the future tribulation Gods people are told, “Come out of her, My people,” Revelation 18:4.

Are you a child of God? Only faith in Christ's blood can make you one.
